  * Goniometer

     : Vertical goniometer, available in theta-theta or alpha-1 geometry

       240mm radius, interfaces are available to reduce the diffracted beam radius for specific applications

       Maximum usable range (depending on accessories) -111° < 2θ < 168°

  * X-ray

     : All Empyrean instruments are designed for 60kV operation, allowing optimal performance for Mo and Ag sources

       4kW generator supporting all current and future X-ray tubes

  * Monochromator

     : Hybrid Monochromator 2xGe(220) adapter is installed after X-ray source for sorting Cu K-alpha1

  * PIXcel3D Detector

     : The PIXcel3D is a unique 2D solid-state hybrid pixel detector.

       Each pixel is 55 microns x 55 microns and the detector array is 225 x 225 pixels. The detector, now based on Medipix3 technology,

       brings unrivalled signal to noise with its point spread function of one pixel and multiple energy discrimination levels.

  * Oxford Phoenix

     : Fast cool down time, 20K in 45 minutes, 12K in 60 minutes

       Warm up time of only 40 minutes for fast sample change

       High stability of 0.1K

       Tilting sample stage, allowing stage to be rotated with the goniometer
