* Analysis Chamber with Pumps
: Turbo pumps with roughing pumps which is connected to each vacuum component such as X-ray and UV source, one ion pump with TSP
(Titanium sublimation pump) and one NEG(Non-evaporable gatter) pump for UHV(Ultra High Vacuum) operation.
* Electron Analyzer
: In UHV experiments in the 10-11 Torr range it is sufficient to pump the VG Scienta analyzers through the analysis chamber.
The in situ cleaving system by the top post method under the pressure better than ~4x10-11 Torr is equipped.
* MX-650
: For standard operation, the MX650 mono-chromator vacuum tank is pumped by turbo pump with roughing pump.
For operating pressures better than 10-9 Torr we set an AI foil that separates the MX-650 from the analysis chamber.
A by pass line is connected to analysis chamber for minimizing vacuum difference during non-operating.
The mono-chromatized AI Ka X-ray source energy(hv) is 1486.7eV at 15kV anode potential and 30mA emission current in UHV.
The energy resolution is better than around 240meV and the typical spot size on sample is 1x5mm.
* UV source
: We equipped that the VUV5050 UV-Source head is pumped with a turbomolecular pump.
The experiment can be performed in the lower than ~10-10 Torr range while running the lamp.
The source provides radiation concentrated to He I (hv=21.2eV and 23.1eV) and He II (hv-40.8eV) radiation.
The energy resolution amounts to ~0.02eV and the angular resolution was 0.1°, corresponding to a momentum resolution ~0.003Å-1
with R4000 analyzer
* R-DEC 6 Axis Virtual Shaft Type i-GONIO
: The motion for 6-axis is equipped. (Flip motion, In-plane(Azimuth) Rotation, theta Roration, X, Y and Z motion)
The specification is following;
Flip Motion Motion Angle Range -60° to +5°
In-pland(Azimuth) Rot. Rotation Angle Range ±50°
Cooling System Liquid Helium Flow
But, we need a careful motion control.
